This week's 88-5 ALBUM DIVE is the record "is" from My Morning Jacket - their 10th studio album which came out Friday (3/21). Deep thoughts on the album title from the band:
"We hoped that, if we could REALLY let ourselves go and merge with the divine where everything is connected, that the music that emerged could perhaps truly end up being what is REALLY needed to best serve reality as it “is” NOW."
The album was mostly created at Henson Recording Studios, right here in Los Angeles. It also marks the first time the band hasn't self-produced - instead they let Brendon O'Brien take the helm. The vinyl is pretty sweet, too:
